Should my business be in the Metaverse?

“We are at the beginning of the next chapter for the internet, and it’s the next chapter for our company too.” – Mark Zuckerberg, Founder’s Letter

Did you grow up with the internet? Most of us have been around long enough to remember it getting popular. But here we are, standing at another major change in the lifespan of the internet called the Metaverse. Their goal with this virtual reality universe is to reach 1 billion people in the next decade. We did some homework for you and found 4 key takeaways to consider when jumping into Meta.

  1. Utilize Branded content: Meta boasts that their platform will have unlimited capabilities of choice. This means that the possibilities for your branded content are also endless!
  2. Creating an Experience: Events like product unveils, virtual watch parties and more will be right at your fingertips. It will be easier than ever to connect with customers from around the globe.
  3. Push Gamification: People are competitive! Meta allows you to use that to your advantage. Creating competitions, encouraging participation to earn perks are easy ways to get users to interact with your business.
  4. The Biggest Last Thing: Utilize status and stories bring value. Give users a chance to accomplish A, B & C to earn stuff.  Let them build their way up to something exclusive.

While we don’t see Metaverse affecting the everyday life of a general consumer yet, it could potentially grow to that in the next decade if all goes according to Mark Z’s predictions. Thankfully we have time to get our virtual ducks in a row and build a strong and valuable brand presence in the Metaverse. It will take your time to make, so let’s make it content worth the user’s time too.
